An outstanding sixth form college is looking for an Educational Support Assistant to support students looking ahead to October of the new academic year:
This sixth form college situated in the inner-city area of central Manchester is looking to recruit an Educational Support Assistant (i.e. Teaching Assistant) to start with them in October once the new college has began. The successful Support Assistant will be required on a full time basis for the remainder of the academic year with the opportunity to secure a college-based contract after a term via Teaching Personnel.
The role of the teaching assistant at this mixed sixth form college is to fulfil a fully varied role which will include supporting students in lessons, assisting any students who are identified as having SEN as well as “Pathways” students who study vocational subjects. The successfully appointed teaching assistant will therefore have to be adaptable, confident and motivated to succeed taking on the wide variety of positions.
Key aspects of this teaching assistant role:
- Full time teaching assistant/ESA required starting on 4th October once the academic year has began
- Pay will range between GBP1300 - GBP1450 per month dependent upon hours and experience levels
- 1 year fixed term contract for the successful teaching assistant progressing onto and earning a college based contract following 1 term successful supply
The college is located in the central Manchester area close to the major bus route. It is therefore easy for any teaching assistants to get to this college utilising the public transport network.
This sixth form are looking ahead to the new academic year and are keen to recruit a confident, motivated teaching assistant that is looking to work in a supportive sixth form college. This role is a great opportunity for a graduate, former teaching assistant or youth worker looking for more responsibility and experience in supporting students. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
