Early Years/Year 1 Primary Teacher - Kirkdale, Lewisham

A Teacher is needed for a Special Needs Primary school in Kirkdale, Lewisham. The class has 8 children, who are all on the Autism spectrum. The school have requested that the right candidate has experience with PECs and MAKATON. The rate per day is between £130 - £150 depending on experience.

The school offers full- time education for children aged 3 to 11 years old with learning difficulties ranging across the autistic spectrum; therefore you will be required to provide tailored support when necessary. This may be in the form of 1:1, 2:1 or group work.

Familiarity with PECS, TEACCH, and Applied Behaviour Analysis as methods of communication is necessary. However, the school also welcomes alternative methods of teaching, including music, sports, performing arts based approaches. Experience in teaching Maths and English is necessary, as well as knowledge of the National Curriculum.
