Early Years Teaching Assistant - Warwick Avenue, Westminster

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a EYFS Teaching Assistant in an 'Outstanding' 2 form Primary School located close to Warwick Avenue. The school have a lovely purpose built site only a short walk from the Tube Station.

The Position

The role is a Teaching Assistant role working in Reception. There are a few children in the class with statements but you will predominantly be supporting a pupil that is on the Autistic Spectrum and requires support within the classroom. Engaging the pupil in safe play and providing a nurturing support base will be important for them.

The hours will be 8:30-4pm on Monday to Friday. It will be a long term contract until the end of the academic year if successful. Pay will be between £60-£70 per day depending on experience.

To Be Successful

Candidates with the following are more likely to be shortlisted:

  • Undergraduate Degree or Childhood Related Qualification
  • At least 1 Year experience working with children (school based or other relevant)
  • Sound knowledge of ASC and other Special Educational Needs.
  • Some knowledge of the EYFS learning.
  • Able to commit long term and interested in progressing on to the schools books in the future is ideal.
