A Central Harrogate Primary School are looking for an experienced Early Years TA.
A primary school in Harrogate (HG2) need to further assist their Early Years class full-time until at least Christmas 2020. They need someone whose expertise lies in Early Years and Reception, and is very confident in a play-based learning approach with children of this age group. The school is easy to get to from North Leeds and the surrounding areas, and also has plenty of parking space for staff. It is a warm, friendly and welcoming school that received GOOD at its last Ofsted. The school need someone to provide extra assistance in the class a previous assistant has now left the school. So for this reason there is a high chance of the booking being extended further into next calendar year when the plans become clearer going forwards.
The school need someone with experience of working in Early Years, so that they can be trusted to get going in the role straightaway without any training. This would involve experience of phonics programmes, particularly Jolly Phonics (which the school uses), as well as guided play. The school feel that another experienced member of staff in the class would means that they are comfortable taking over where the previous assistant left off, and build good relationships with the children and support the teacher. The school employ a play based learning curriculum in their Early Years centre, and need members of staff with experience of this apporach who are confident in allowing the children freedom in their learning, and are responsible in a setting such as this. The school prides itself on their Early Years learning programme, so this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to put their speciality to use in a great learning environment. The chosen candidate will be someone who has a history of experience in this area and has practical experience of play-based learning, as well as a confident and assured presence. Although, the school are not averse to considering Graduate TAs for this position.
If you fit the bill for this role, then please apply where indicated and submit an up-to-date CV detailing your previous roles. We will then be in touch!
