We are seeking an inspiring and committed senior leader to join a highly respected specialist provision in Street, Somerset. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with an immediate start.

The school supports pupils aged 4 to 18 with autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), communication and interaction needs, SEMH profiles and complex additional needs. All pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans, and the setting is recognised for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral care and dedication to preparing young people for adulthood.

The Role

This strategic leadership post focuses on Personal Development and Safeguarding. Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead and Designated Teacher

• Leading the whole-school safeguarding culture and curriculum (including PSHE and RSE)

• Monitoring behaviour and attendance, ensuring effective interventions

• Overseeing EHCP processes, provision mapping and annual reviews

• Championing staff and pupil wellbeing

• Undertaking a teaching commitment of up to two days per week

You will join a forward-thinking leadership team within a collaborative partnership of specialist settings, offering strong peer support and shared expertise.
