Early Years Teaching Assistant (Level 3) – Full-Time

 Location: Lancaster
 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term-Time Only)
 Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about giving children the best possible start in life? A welcoming primary school in Lancaster is looking for a Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated EYFS team this September.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with the class teacher to support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. This is a full-time, term-time role – perfect for someone who loves working with young children and wants to make a real difference.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
  • Assist in planning and delivering fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities
  • Help maintain a positive and welcoming classroom environment
  • Observe and record children’s progress, sharing feedback with the teaching team
  • Work closely with colleagues and parents to meet individual needs

What We’re Looking For

  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in an EYFS setting (school or nursery)
  • A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding practices
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
