Early Years Practitioner

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a boarding school and nursery near Robertsbridge, who are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Early Years Practitioner to join their Early Years team. The Nursery & Kindergarten is a vibrant and creative environment, set in glorious grounds. The school were judged 'Excellent' in all areas by ISI in their latest inspection.

Responsibilities

• To take on key person responsibility for a small group of children;
• To be involved in collaborative planning and preparation;
• To build and maintain strong relationships with parents;
• To provide a happy, nurturing and educational environment following the EYFS framework;
• To ensure health and safety policies are followed and to ensure the wellbeing of the children.

Key Relationships

• Head of Nursery & Kindergarten;
• Head of Pre-Prep;
• Headmaster

Qualifications and Experience

• At least NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development (or equivalent);
• Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage;
• Appropriate experience of working with 2 to 4 year olds in a nursery setting;
• Strong observation and assessment skills.

Working hours are expected to be school hours, Monday to Friday and term time only.
