Nursery Assistant – Early Years
Location: CF11 (Cardiff, Wales)
Job Type: Full-Time, Part time, Temporary or Permanent
Pay: £13.75 Per Hour
Are you passionate about supporting children in their early years?
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a friendly team in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals who enjoy working with young children and are keen to start or develop a career in early years education. The successful candidate will be committed to providing high-quality childcare and helping to create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
The Role
You will support children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, helping to create a calm, welcoming, and safe environment where children feel confident to explore, learn, and develop independently.
Key Skills
We are looking for nursery professionals who demonstrate:
- Supporting children’s learning through play and planned activities
- Assisting with daily routines such as meals, naps, and outdoor play
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
- Building positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
- Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- A genuine interest in working with children
- A warm, patient, and reliable personality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and complete required training
- No previous childcare experience needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
