EAL Specialist Teaching Assistant - Bradford

The Headteacher of one of our client Primary Schools in Bradford (BD10) is looking to recruit an experienced EAL teaching assistant.

Due to the disruption of Covid-19 and the move to remote learning, the Headteacher predicts that the school’s EAL pupils will require additional support upon their return to school.

As an EAL Teaching Assistant, your main responsibility will be to assist the class teachers in supporting bilingual learners. You will be providing 1:1 and small group support to a range of students across the school.

Requirements of the role:

  • At least 1 years’ experience of working with EAL students, ideally within a primary school.
  • Experience of providing 1:1 intervention to KS1 and KS2 pupils.
  • The ability to establish to positive relationships with students, staff and parents/carers.
  • A passion for creating equal access for all pupils.
  • A fully enhanced DBS (or you must be willing to apply for one).
  • Two references and the right to work in the UK.

This is a part-time role, due to start after Easter 2021.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
