EAL Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced language specialist who aims to use their skills to support pupils in school? Do you have a passion for working in a secondary school setting in Manchester? If you have experience in a school setting and wish to broaden your knowledge and skills in an Ofsted rated good school, this position would be perfect for you.

With 919 pupils on roll, over 40% of the students have English as an additional language. Due to this, our partner school requires EAL specialists to work on a 1:1 basis with students in all core curriculum lessons to ensure they can fully engage and focus.

• GBP60 - GBP70 per day depending on previous experiences
• Working in a supporting role with pupils across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four
• Initially a temporary role, with the opportunity to become permanent

Due to the school being larger than average, there are a range of language needs, including Urdu, Hindi, Spanish, French, and Arabic. The school are seeking to appoint EAL specialists who are experienced in a variety of languages- however specialist in one language area are also welcome to apply.

• Experience working in a classroom environment
• Full enhanced DBS
• Availability to start in September
