Design Technology Teacher

Bath

September 2019

Full-time or Part-time

£23000 to £32000 per annum

A rare opportunity has arisen for a competent Design Technology Teacher at an outstanding high-performing school based in Bath. This opening is available for both an experienced classroom practitioner and an NQT qualifying in the summer.

What is the school looking for?

Applicants for this Design Technology Teacher role must be thoroughly familiar with the National Curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and ideally have some experience of teaching Product Design at Key Stage 5 but this is not essential. The school has a Sixth Form and Product Design is a consistently popular choice so there will be an opportunity to teach in the Sixth Form if you are suitably qualified and experienced at this level.

The school is looking for a Design Technology Teacher with a proven track record of consistently adding value to their students in the schools taught previously. You should also be a confident and enthusiastic educator with the initiative to facilitate the progression of the Design Technology department and should have a strong career record in this respect. Please bear in mind that to be considered for this permanent Design Technology Teacher role applicants should have a related degree, hold QTS and have previous experienced teaching in secondary schools in the UK at KS3 and KS4

What you can expect from the school?

This over-subscribed, larger than average school has enjoyed unprecedented results over the last 2 years. Students are very motivated towards learning and achieving good results, generally behaviour is very good across the school. The school is renowned for its organic approach towards departmental development, thus offers excellent opportunities for career progression. This would suit an ambitious Design Technology teacher who is used to making a difference and is looking for their next career move.

If this sounds like the kind of school you want to work and you are looking for a permanent Design Technology Teacher job to start September in South East London, please send your CV for consideration and we will be in touch if you fit the criteria we are looking for. I look forward to hearing from you.
