Design & Technology Teacher

Date posted : 01/08/19
£100 - £150 per day

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

  • Full-time + Part-time permanent roles available starting in September
  • Regular supply work also available
  • Pay in accordance to payscale for long-term roles, £100-£120 for supply work (dependent on experience)

We are currently experiencing a shortage of quality Design and Technology teachers, particularly in the areas of Resistant Materials, Construction, Engineering and Electronics. We are presently working with 2 schools in Bournemouth, one of which is looking to appoint somebody for 3 days per week in September, the other full-time.

If you are somebody who is passionate about design and technology and is looking to really help drive a department forwards, starting from a relatively blank canvas, we would love to hear from you. You will ideally have both classroom and industry experience, delivering key stage 3, 4 and 5 technology subjects. You would be joining a relatively new team in an exciting journey to transform a Design and Technology department, so your ability to build positive and meaningful relationships with both children and adults is essential.

We are also able to offer regular supply work to Design and Technology teachers who are looking for more variety and flexible working hours with a reduced workload. We work with the vast majority of schools throughout Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch, many of which work with us on a preferred supply agreements. On this basis, we expect high demand for supply teachers from October half-term onwards.

If you would like a confidential conversation about your future career plans, to discuss our available roles or to start the registration process for supply work, please contact James quoting the reference number at the top of this advert. We encourage applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers and would also consider unqualified teachers, providing you have recent and relevant classroom experience.
