Design & Technology Teacher

The Role:

As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will encourage and guide students through the complexities of design, engineering, and technology. This role requires a creative and enthusiastic professional who can engage students with practical and theoretical knowledge, preparing them for the challenges of modern industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Design and Technology to students across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5.
• Develop engaging and innovative lessons that incorporate both traditional woodworking, metalworking skills, and modern technologies such as CAD and 3D printing.
• Monitor and evaluate students' progress and adapt teaching methods to meet varying needs and interests.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and current design trends and technologies.
• Foster a safe, creative, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student-led projects.
• Organize and manage the resources required for class activities.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff to integrate design principles into other curricular areas
