Job description

Are you a fully qualified Dance Teacher with QTS looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students in a secondary school setting? Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team at a mainstream secondary school in Gorton on a full-time basis, starting immediately, also with consideration for September roles.

Throughout this role, you will be paid in line with your Teacher Pay Scale point, (£30,000 to £46,525 per annum).

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons to students following the national curriculum guidelines.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular dance activities and performances.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Dance.
  • Proven experience teaching dance to secondary school students.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum requirements for dance education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
