Job description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for an eager Criminology Graduate to fill the position of Youth Worker at one of our partner schools in the Central Manchester area. The school is reponsible for steering young offenders, from the ages of 10-17, in the right direction. The students at this centre are often from deprived backgrounds, primarily with behavioural and learning difficulties, in addition to problems with their social, emotional and mental health.
The appropriate candidate will be able to show confidence and resilience when interacting with the students there. A background in criminology and previous relevant experience would be highly beneficial to your application too. The main responsibility of the successful candidate will be intervening when these difficulties arise and guiding the pupil accordingly to help them understand the causes and consequences of their actions.
Pay for this position ranges from GBP65 - GBP70 per day, with typical working hours being between 8:30am - 3:30pm.
Teaching Personnel is the one of the UK's biggest teaching and support staff agencies, placing thousands of candidates at over 5000 schools each academic year. Established in 1996, we have 24 years industry experience informing the process of you applying for positions to being placed in a role that’s right for you. You will be assigned a consultant if you decide to register with us who will guide you through the process, ensuring all the relevant documents are in place. Teaching Personnel also offer heavily discounted CPD programs, our own safeguarding training and an online diary to help you manage your workload whilst you’re with us. A lot of the roles we offer are temporary, but with a high possibility of becoming permanent if you settle into the job well.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
