Teaching Personnal are working with a Local Authority in Derbyshire who are in need of creative Mentors to work with LAC children from September 2020.
The Local Authority support Primary and Secondary aged students who present with:
- SEMH and Challenging Behaviour
- ASC
- ADHD
- MLD and SLD
- Anxiety
They are looking for tutors/mentors who are are able to offer these students a creative education and a more pastoral type of support. They are particularly interested in individuals who have skills in the following subjects:
- Art and D&T
- Drama / Music
- Construction/ Woodwork/ Joinery
- Film/Photography
- Sports
- Cooking
As a tutor/mentor you would be requires to offer support to the student from a couple of hours to multiple sessions a week, and be required to complete weekly feedback on the students progress, achievements, behaviour, and self-esteem/confidence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
