Cover Teacher - North Manchester

Are you looking for flexible work as a Cover Teacher in North Manchester?

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our 'Outstanding' client secondary school located in the North Manchester region are currently looking for a Cover Teacher to join them as soon as possible. This role will last until the end of the academic year in the first instance, with a view it could continue into the new academic year.

  • Full time Cover Teacher for an immediate start
  • Part time opportunity available for perfect candidate
  • 'Outstanding' secondary school in North Manchester
  • Weekly pay between £270-£325 (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel are working alongside our partner secondary school which is located in the Prestwich area of North Manchester. The school had a major refurbishment and rebuild in 2009, with an extension being built in 2013 so students have access to an excellent learning environment. With fewer than 900 students currently enrolled from the local areas of Blackley and Unsworth, this smaller than average comprehensive school is located just a short 10 minute drive from the M60 motorway, as well as being close to several bus stops.

"This is a popular school, valued by its local community. We provide each of our pupils with the opportunity to fulfil their full potential in a caring and supportive environment where high quality teaching and learning can take place ensuring success for all our pupils. We maintain positive links with the wider community and promote in our pupils self-esteem, an appreciation of rights and a willingness to accept responsibilities." Headteacher.

Working as a Cover Teacher, you will be covering both pre-planned and unexpected absences of class teachers throughout the school. All the work will be pre-set, and the role will involve ensuring the behaviour policy is being followed, student behaviour is of an acceptable nature and answering any immediate enquiries from the students. Experience of working with young people previously is desirable but not essential, as well as having strong behaviour management skills. Prospective candidates from backgrounds including coaching and youth work may have skills and traits than can be transferable and utilised in this role.

If you would like to apply for this post as a Cover Teacher please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
