Cover Teacher – All subjects welcome to apply!
Teaching Personnel works in partnership with schools in Colchester and surrounding areas, who seek to book ad-hoc supply teachers and cover supervisors to cover periods of staff absence. The schools are looking for Cover Teachers of all subjects as well as Cover Supervisors with suitable classroom experience. The successful supply teacher will be easily able to travel to surrounding areas of Colchester, ideal for those with their own transport.
As a successful cover teacher, you will:
- Be confident in classroom management, delivering adaptive and responsive teaching
- Supervise students in and out of class including in the hallways and cafeteria
- Implement school policies, encouraging challenge through learning
- Assigning classwork and homework in line with regular lesson plans
- To provide a supportive and inspiring learning environment
- Encourage students to care and respect all other individuals regardless of background

The role of a Cover Teacher or Cover Supervisor would be well suited to someone coming off parental leave, a retired teacher, a learning support assistant seeking to further their career, or a sports coach seeking to transfer their skills and experience to the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
