Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced Cover Supervisor to take on a full-time basis at a secondary school in Tottenham. The role involves explaining the work and providing support for the students so that they can carry on learning even if their teacher is away. It may include working 1-1 with students and supporting the teacher. This role provides an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to begin a career in a school setting or who is looking to wind down into semi-retirement.

The school in question are a generally popular 11-18 mixed school located in north London with a strong family and community ethos. The school’s aim is for every pupil to leave with a strong moral purpose, high aspirations, and immense pride in what they have achieved during their time at the school.

The school will also look for long-term staff should the day-to-day candidate perform to expected standards, so this is an excellent opportunity to showcase your talents.

Ideally the successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of working with 11 – 16-year-olds
  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or the equivalent qualification)
  • A sense of humour combined with a firm, no nonsense approach
  • Full enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to undergo one
  • Cover Supervisor or support staff training

The successful applicants will be confident and supportive with good interpersonal skills, and have an empathy with young people; ideally, previous experience in a role working with young people will be a considerable advantage. Extensive training will be provided under the supervision of our Lead Cover Supervisors.
