Are you looking to gain experience in an educational setting?

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Blackburn based secondary school who require a 'bank' of Cover Supervisors to call upon on a day to day basis. The School is based centrally in Accrington, close to the M65 with links to public transport. The School is a smaller than average catholic secondary school and the pupils in this school can often display fairly challenging behaviour.

The role will require the candidate to deliver pre-set work to a range of 11-16 year old pupils and this may be in any subject, it is common for the Cover supervisor to cover a range of different subjects in the same day! The role will initially start on a supply basis but for the right candidate it has the position to continue into a permanent position.

The candidate will have strong classroom management skills and be confident enough to step up in front of a class and deliver KS3/4 lessons. This is the perfect position for somebody looking to do their PGCE or looking to gain additional experience in a classroom setting. The candidate must be available at least 3 days a week and have experience working with children, the candidate must also be flexible and able to accept 'on the morning calls'.
