Are you a recent graduate looking for paid classroom experience in a Secondary School?

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a successful Multi-Academy Trust with school sites based in St Neots, easily accessible from Cambridge, Huntingdon, Bedford and surrounding areas.

These successful secondary schools are looking for Cover Supervisors to join their team from January 2019, with opportunities for both ad-hoc daily cover and long-term regular positions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate based in the Cambridge, Huntingdon or Bedford areas, who is interested in secondary school teaching and wishing to gain classroom experience before starting a career in education in the future. With an agreement in place with the schools, Teaching Personnel will be able to provide you with both experience and regular work!

Benefits of the roles:

  • Opportunity to work in high achieving Secondary Schools
  • Paid experience in a classroom prior to starting a teacher training course
  • Applications accepted from recent graduates
  • Full time working hours, although there is potential for flexibility on days and hours
  • Cover supervisor pay with opportunities to earn £300 - £375 per week (depending on experience, paid via PAYE with no registration or payroll charges!)

Whilst working as a cover supervisor, you should:

  • Be able to support learners in the absence of the classroom teacher
  • Ensure set work is completed by all pupils
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Be able to build and maintain strong, effective relationships with young people

The ideal Cover Supervisors will be confident, motivated and professional individuals and ideally have experience working with learners. There will be many transferable skills from a range of different occupations such as a sports coaches and youth work!
