Cover Supervisor's Required, Dorset

Are you a recent graduate looking for a route into teaching in a secondary school?

Cover supervisors are needed to work in schools throughout Dorset, to cover absent teachers and support staff for the day. Cover supervisors take on the role of absent teachers delivering pre set work ensuring students remain on take following the schools behaviour policies.

Cover supervisors will need to have some for of experience working in the education sector, youth work, health and social care or sports coaching. Cover supervisors can work on a part time, full time flexible schedule. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to work in a secondary school before starting a teacher training programme.

Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

  • Covering whole classes in place of the absent teacher and supervising work set for pupils
  • Ensuring pupils conform to schools behaviour policy and behave in a correct manner
  • Cover a wide variety of subjects and respond to pupils queries offering good direction
  • Ensuring work is completed to a good standard and returned to appropriate member of staff

Applicants will receive full support from Teaching Personnel as well as our client schools as well as being given the opportunity to further develop their skill set and qualifications though regular CPD training sessions, delivered through partner schools across Dorset.
