Cover Supervisor
Tameside
Do you have experience working with secondary aged students?
Are you considering a career in teaching and want to develop your classroom experience?
We are seeking an enthusiastic cover supervisor to join our partner school in Tameside. The successful cover supervisor will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers. They will give instructions for the lesson as provided by a teacher and the primary focus of the role will be to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task.
The successful applicant will respond to general questions and provide feedback to teachers but will not be required to undertake 'specified work' (planning, preparation, delivery, assessment, recording and reporting of achievement, progress and development).
Due to a gap within the schools support staff team, they now have a vacancy for a cover supervisor to join the school in January 2019. The successful cover supervisor will be required on a temporary full-time basis until the end of the academic year. Whilst this is a temporary position in the first instance, there is a possibility for this position to become permanent for the successful applicant.
Our partner school is located in a small town in the Borough of Tameside, Greater Manchester, England, around 9 miles east of Manchester city centre. The curriculum our partner school offers is broad and balanced, offering a personalised pathway so that each and every student is supported, stretched and challenged. In their most recent Ofsted report, the school was graded as a 'Good' school receiving good in all areas including effectiveness of leadership and management, quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare and outcomes for pupils.
To apply for this position, please upload your CV for consideration. To find out further information on this position or any other positions with Teaching Personnel please contact the Manchester Secondary branch on 0161 242 1794.
