Cover Supervisors | Future Teachers - PGCE Applicants - Graduates
Are you looking to get into teaching? Do you want to get experience of working with students but are unsure where to start?
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work on a daily basis for both short and long term positions. This can provide flexibility to your new Cover Supervisor role as several partnered secondary schools in the Ongar area are currently recruiting on a part-time/full-time basis. *For September 2020 Start*
As you will be occupied with several schools, you will be working on an ad-hoc basis where we will contact you prior to your appointment of the potential school. This can allow you to choose when and where to work, enabling you full flexibility of the full-time/ part-time cover supervisor role. As a cover supervisor this could support your future decision to move into teaching as it can be a platform to enhance your teaching skills and secondary education knowledge.
Schools are increasingly relying on more Cover Supervisors as a way to cover the teacher's absence. The role of a cover supervisor is to supervise and manage a classroom in the absence of a class teacher. As a Cover Supervisor you will ensure pre-prepared class work is complete and to manage students behaviour in accordance with school guidelines.
Highlights of this Cover Supervisor post;
- Pay ranging from GBP300-GBP500 per week, paid via PAYE on a weekly basis
- Flexible position to suit your needs with the full time/ part time positions available
- Work with numerous Secondary Schools to boost your teaching skills
- Platform to enhance your career further in education and gain valuable experiences.
- Ongoing training courses, CPD opportunities
We are keen to hear from graduate candidates or candidates with behavioural management experience and a keen interest in working within Secondary Schools. You must be confident of your abilities within a classroom based environment and have the ability to build relationships with pupils and the other staff members.
To apply for this Cover Supervisor role you will need to upload your latest CV with a cover letter. Alternatively please email jess.cummins@teachingpersonnel.com if you have any queries.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later
