Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised behaviour plans that address the specific needs of each student.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to teachers and staff members, empowering them with effective behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress, behaviour incidents, and interventions, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
- Assist with preparing materials for learning sessions.
- Ensure the classroom is a suitable area for students to learn.
- Offer support to children who may be feeling upset or unwell, creating a safe environment where their well-being is a top priority.
- Take an active role in leading classes, working together with the teacher to create an engaging and effective learning experience for students.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour in an educational or therapeutic setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and solution-oriented in challenging situations.
- Resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's emotional well-being and educational success.
- Experience in conducting behaviour assessments and creating individualised behaviour plans is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
