Teaching Personnel are experiencing an increasing demand for Cover Supervisors to cover for in-house Teachers of a High School in North-Tyneside on a day to day basis with schools looking to bring on full-time, permanent members of staff. The school are currently in the process of recruiting for full and part-time Cover Supervisors to start in September 2019.
Initially, commencing from September you will be working as a Cover Supervisor within multiple departments within the School. You will be prioritised for your specialist subjects however, will be asked to cover other subjects as well. Behaviour within the school is good and Ofsted have rated the school as 'Good'. The School has very recently taken a Cover Supervisor on a permanent contract from an interview and is still looking to bring on 2/3 additional members of staff.
You can also work as a 1:1 teaching assistant on occasion with pupils both in and outside of lessons. There is potential for full-time support assistant roles should this be something you prioritise over cover supervision.
The Role:
- Covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers
- Classroom behaviour management - ensuring all pupils are on task
- Permanent role for the right person
- Excellent opportunity to gain experience within schools despite not having a teaching qualification
- 1:1 teaching assistant for pupils with behavioural disorders when required
Benefits for yourself:
- Free access to courses contributing to your Continued Professional Development (CPD)
- Competitive rates of pay - opportunity to earn between ÂŁ280-350 per week
- For full-time members of staff, the school are willing to pay more than the usual daily rate
- Highly desirable experience in a rewarding school environment with supportive staff
- Teacher of the month awards
