Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a number of secondary schools in Barnsley who require a number of cover supervisors to join their support teams as soon as possible and for the new academic year also (Sept).

As a cover supervisor, you will be required to cover lessons on a flexible day to day basis, in the absence of the class teacher due to short term sickness and internal training days. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in local secondary schools, taking on full classes as an unqualified teacher!

Responsibilities of a cover supervisor will include:

• Day to day lesson cover at secondary schools in Barnsley - you will be briefed by the school every morning
• Deliver pre-set work to a class of pupils in the event of short term teacher absence
• Covering a range of KS3 and KS4 lessons so some knowledge of the core subjects is desirable
• Ensuring pupils remain on task to complete the pre set work
