  • Training provided to all candidates and support offered by the schools
  • Competitive earnings with expected pay to be in the region of around £1300 a month
  • Previous experience working in a secondary school setting is preferred but not essential
  • There will be opportunities to start prior to September

As a Cover Supervisor working for Teaching Personnel, you will have the opportunity work flexibly in a number of excellent secondary schools in the Wigan LEA. No working day will be the same and it is essential that you are able to adapt quickly to new situations and scenarios.

In order to be successful in this role it is important that you are able to deliver pre-planned lessons confidently to classrooms of students of the age range 11-16. There will be times where you will have to manage classrooms with disruptive students so being able to manage behaviour is key. (Training and support will be provided from Teaching Personnel and our client secondary schools.)

Graduates and aspiring teachers are urged to apply for this exciting role, as it will strengthen a PGCE application in the future and provide applicants with the skill sets necessary to become an outstanding teacher of the future.

This role is perfect for anyone who has experience working alongside students in a coaching or tutoring background, has experience working as a Cover Supervisor or a Teaching Assistant or for teachers who are looking to work within a Secondary school setting without the usual responsibilities that are involved with teaching.

Whilst working for Teaching Personnel you will have access to regular CPD training sessions and specialist schemes such as 'Future Teacher's and 'Cover Supervisor Induction's' that are ran through a number of our partner schools.

To register your interest in the positions available or for further information on any of the above please send an up to date CV to Zack or contact the Manchester West Secondary Branch via the details below;
