Cover Supervisor

Oftsed graded 'good' secondary school located in Oldham is currently seeking a Cover Supervisor to join their cover team on a flexible basis. This position will be starting immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year.

This is a mixed 11-16 comprehensive secondary school located in Royton, Oldham, the school is situated close to the A627 road and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas Rochdale, Tameside and Central Manchester.

• Flexible Cover Supervisor post, with an immediate start
• Get paid up to £300 a week dependant on experience
• Develop on your classroom and behaviour management skills prior to starting a teacher training programme

This is a larger than average secondary school, with over 1250 student's currently on roll and has been oversubscribed in year 7 for the past few years. The school serves the diverse local community with almost all the students being from minority ethnic backgrounds and speak English as a second language. In recent years the school has had a change within their senior leadership team and the newly appointed Principle has a clear focus on the wellbeing of both the students and the staff.

Responsibility of a Cover Supervisor:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher
• Provide feedback to the classroom teacher on the progress of the class
• Provide intervention sessions in your subject specialism when cover is not needed
