Cover Supervisor

Large mixed comprehensive Secondary school in Salford have a full time position for a Cover Supervisor to join their support team after the February half term break, or earlier if possible. Due to a restructure within the cover team, the school require a Cover Supervisor to work with them on a full time temporary basis, covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher, initially until the end of the academic year.

• Temporary position, with the opportunity of a fixed term position
• Earn up to £350 per week, depending upon previous experience
• Opportunity of further development through CPD training

The successful Cover Supervisor will be required on a full time basis from 8.30am until the end of the school day each day. Responsibilities include covering lessons when permanent staff are absent through sickness, ensuring behaviour policies are followed and students are completing the cover work that has been left for them. There will be expectations that the successful Cover Supervisor will cover lessons across the subject and ability range so flexibility and confidence is essential.

Cover Supervisors will receive full support and have the opportunity to partake in regular CPD training sessions, delivered through St Patrick's RC High School, Eccles.

It is essential that interested Cover Supervisors have previous experience working with children and young people. Behaviour management is also desired for this position.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
