Job Duties:

As a Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher. This includes maintaining discipline, ensuring the students are on task, and delivering pre-prepared lesson plans. You will need to manage behaviour effectively and provide a safe and positive learning environment for the students.

Required Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience
  • Behaviour management skills
  • Good communication abilities

Education:

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. A teaching qualification or relevant degree is desirable.

Experience:

Prior experience in a teaching or classroom management role is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
  • Organisational skills to manage lesson plans and student activities

Preferred Qualifications:

A teaching qualification such as a PGCE or equivalent would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

You will be working in a school environment, following the school's timetable and policies. The role may involve standing for extended periods and interacting with students of varying ages and abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
