Cover Supervisor Position Available at a Southampton Secondary School!

Are you passionate about education and looking for a flexible role that allows you to make a positive impact in the classroom? Teaching Personnel is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team of Cover Supervisors in and around the Southampton area. Whether you’re a recent graduate seeking classroom-based experience or an already qualified teacher seeking part-time work, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to students’ learning and development.

Position Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning when regular classroom teachers are absent.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising Classes: Stepping in for absent teachers to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Delivering Pre-Prepared Lessons: Facilitating student engagement by delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and activities.
  • Supporting Students: Providing guidance and support to students who need extra assistance.
  • Managing Behavior: Ensuring students remain on task and engaged in their learning.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assisting with administrative duties related to cover supervision.

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Be willing to get involved across all subjects.
  • Possess good behavior management skills.
  • Hold a child workforce DBS on the update service (if not already obtained, we can assist you with the application).
