Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Sale

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £89 - £99 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans to students
  • Assisting students with their work and providing support as needed
  • Reporting back on student progress to teaching staff
  • Maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different classroom environments

Education:

  • Minimum of GCSE level education

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Good organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours may vary based on school schedules
  • Opportunity to work in different schools within the area
  • Regular interaction with students, teaching staff, and school administrators

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
