Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students in the study of English language and literature, fostering a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic success and holistic development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote student participation and achievement.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Actively participate in the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Specialization in English language and/or literature, with a strong academic background in the subject.
  • Passion for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to engage in ongoing training and learning opportunities.
  • Experience teaching English at the secondary level is desirable but not essential; NQTs are encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
