Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools
Location: Northampton
Contract: Full Time
Start Date: January 2026

Teaching Personnel are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work full time across secondary schools in Northampton, starting January 2026.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking to gain valuable classroom experience within a supportive school environment.

The Role:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher

  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment

  • Support students with their work and maintain engagement

  • Work across a range of subjects and year groups (KS3–KS4)

  • Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable)

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A proactive and professional approach

  • Ability to work full time from January

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
