Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in the Newport area. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced educators, graduates, aspiring teachers and anyone with strong leadership or group-management experience looking to build a career in education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play an important role in keeping learning on track when teachers are unavailable. You'll supervise pre-planned lessons, support pupils with their work and create a calm, positive classroom environment.

No two days are the same — and you'll have the opportunity to gain valuable experience across a secondary school setting.

‍ What Will You Be Doing?

• Supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and instructions
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
• Manage behaviour confidently and consistently
• Support pupils with their learning where required
• Encourage students to remain focused and engaged
• Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
• Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff

Requirements

Teaching Personnel will support you throughout the registration process.

• Aged 18+
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• EWC Registration or willingness to register
• Two professional references covering the required employment period
• Right to work in the UK
