Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming secondary school in Newport that is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 throughout the next academic year.

This isn't just about supporting lessons, it's about helping students overcome barriers, build confidence, and make the most of their education.


⭐ What Will Your Day Look Like?

No two days are ever the same.

You could be:

  • Supporting a student who lacks confidence in the classroom
  • Helping pupils with additional learning needs access lesson content
  • Encouraging engagement and participation during lessons
  • Working alongside teachers to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting small group intervention sessions
  • Building positive relationships with young people who need an extra role model in school

You'll become a familiar face that students trust and rely on throughout their school journey.

✅ Requirements

To be considered, you'll need:

  • To be 18 years old or over
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • EWC Registration (or willingness to register)
  • Two professional references covering the last 24 months
  • A commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
