Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Unqualified Teacher)

Location: Monmouthshire
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £100 – £120 per day

We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Monmouthshire. This role is ideal for someone considering a future career in teaching or looking to gain practical experience in a school setting.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor (Unqualified Teacher), you will:

  • Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher
  • Deliver pre-set lessons and follow the school’s lesson plans
  • Maintain classroom discipline and ensure students stay on task
  • Foster a supportive and positive learning environment
  • Provide guidance and support to students as needed
  • Liaise professionally with staff and pupils

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two recent professional references
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
