Job Title: Full-Time Teacher – Alternative Provision (Wirral)
Contract Type: Full Time (Temp to Perm Opportunity)
Location: Wirral, Merseyside
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
An alternative provision based in the Wirral is seeking a committed and adaptable full-time teacher to join their dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to move from a temporary to a permanent position for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to pupils with a range of additional needs, including ADHD, autism, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual with a passion for inclusive education and a desire to support some of the most vulnerable young people in the community.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the full curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Support students with additional needs in both their academic and personal development.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment tailored to the needs of each learner.

Collaborate effectively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies.

Contribute to the ongoing development of the provision and its personalised approach to education.
Essential Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience in an alternative provision setting.

Proven experience working with pupils with ADHD, autism, and other SEND/SEMH needs.

Confidence in delivering a range of subjects across the curriculum.

Strong behaviour management skills and a trauma-informed approach.

A flexible, resilient, and empathetic attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
