Job Title: Full-Time Teacher – Alternative Provision (Wirral)
Contract Type: Full Time (Temp to Perm Opportunity)
Location: Wirral, Merseyside
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

An alternative provision based in the Wirral is seeking a committed and adaptable full-time teacher to join their dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to move from a temporary to a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to pupils with a range of additional needs, including ADHD, autism, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual with a passion for inclusive education and a desire to support some of the most vulnerable young people in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the full curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

  • Support students with additional needs in both their academic and personal development.

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment tailored to the needs of each learner.

  • Collaborate effectively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies.

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the provision and its personalised approach to education.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience in an alternative provision setting.

  • Proven experience working with pupils with ADHD, autism, and other SEND/SEMH needs.

  • Confidence in delivering a range of subjects across the curriculum.

  • Strong behaviour management skills and a trauma-informed approach.

  • A flexible, resilient, and empathetic attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
