Cover Supervisor – Flexible Work – Manchester Secondary Schools

Location: Manchester (multiple school sites available)
Start Date: Ongoing
Contract Type: Flexible, Day-to-Day or Long-Term
Salary: £89 – £110 per day (based on experience and school placement)

Are you looking for flexible and rewarding work in secondary education?
We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals seeking classroom-based experience without the responsibility of planning or marking.

Cover Supervisor work is ideal for:

  • Graduates considering teacher training

  • Teaching Assistants ready to take on more responsibility

  • Experienced Cover Supervisors looking for consistent local work

Main Duties:

  • Supervise lessons in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring learning continues in line with lesson plans provided

  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure pupils remain on task

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff and heads of department

  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and year groups (mainly KS3 and KS4)

Candidate Essentials:

  • Excellent classroom presence and communication skills

  • A calm, confident approach to managing behaviour

  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
