Cover Supervisor – Macclesfield Secondary Schools

We’re working with several secondary schools across Macclesfield, and we’re looking for confident, adaptable Cover Supervisors to join our team. Whether you’re exploring teaching as a career or already have experience working with children or young people, this role is a great opportunity to build experience in a school setting — and get paid while you do it.
What you’ll do:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of a classroom teacher

Support students aged 11–16 and help maintain a focused classroom

Work across different subjects and year groups, gaining varied experience

Follow school policies and behaviour management strategies
-
Contribute to a positive and professional learning environment
What we’re looking for:
-
Experience working with children or young people (voluntary or paid)
-
Confidence to manage behaviour and engage a class
-
Strong communication and organisational skills
-
A genuine interest in education or youth development
-
Graduates encouraged to apply – ideal preparation for future teacher training

A valid DBS (or willingness to obtain) and safeguarding training
