Job Title: Cover Supervisor

North West England, Cheshire, Poynton

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure student engagement
  • Maintain a positive learning environment
  • Manage student behaviour and ensure discipline is maintained
  • Assist with classroom preparation and tidying up after lessons

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young adults is required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour
  • Basic understanding of educational principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a school environment, following the school's timetable and procedures. The Cover Supervisor may need to adapt to different subjects and age groups based on the teacher's absence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
