Cover Supervisor

Location: West Midlands, Worcestershire, Fairfield

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £89 - £99 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervising and managing classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Implementing prepared lesson plans and ensuring a productive learning environment
  • Managing student behaviour and ensuring adherence to school policies
  • Providing support to students with their learning and assisting with any questions
  • Reporting back on student progress and any issues to the teaching staff

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working with children or young people is required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and teaching staff
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Work hours typically follow the school schedule
  • May require standing and moving around the classroom for extended periods
  • Interaction with students, teaching staff, and parents/guardians

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
