Cover Supervisor

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our supportive and dynamic team at a secondary school in Durham, starting Easter 2025. This full-time role provides an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in education, making a positive impact on students' learning and development.

Position: Cover Supervisor
Pay: £90 to £100 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: Easter 2025

About the Role:

• You will deliver pre-planned lessons to students in KS3 and KS4, ensuring a smooth continuation of learning in the absence of the regular teacher.

• Manage classroom behaviour, maintaining a focused and positive environment where students remain engaged and on task.

• Play an active role in school life, contributing to extracurricular activities and helping foster a well-rounded school experience.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage with students of varying abilities.

• While a degree is desirable, it’s not essential – a passion for education is what matters most.

• A child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one). We can assist with the application process.

• Two professional references from recent employment.

The school is conveniently located in Durham, with excellent transport links for both drivers and those who use public transport from surrounding areas in the North East.
