Graduate Cover Supervisor
Location: Durham
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £90- £100 per day, depending on experience
Are you a recent graduate seeking valuable educational experience before embarking on a teaching career? Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and driven graduates for Cover Supervisor positions in secondary schools throughout the region, commencing this September.
About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will enter the classroom during teacher absences, implementing prepared lesson materials and sustaining a constructive learning atmosphere. This presents an excellent opportunity to develop classroom leadership abilities, build confidence, and gain practical insight into school environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement prepared lesson plans to classes across various subjects
- Oversee student conduct and ensure a secure, respectful educational setting
- Assist students with their studies and promote classroom participation
- Provide feedback to teaching staff and contribute to the broader school community
What We're Looking For:
- Recent graduate (any discipline) with enthusiasm for working with young people
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
- Confident and proactive approach to classroom management
- Prior experience with children or young people is beneficial but not required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
