Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: South East England, Surrey, Camberley

Job Type: Flexible working, 8:30-3:30 hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £110 - £150 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of a regular teacher
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students' engagement in the learning process
  • Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment
  • Assist students with their learning, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Manage and address any behavioural issues that may arise
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure consistent educational practises
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationship

Experience:

Prior experience working in an educational setting or with children and adolescents is desirable but not essential.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum
  • Proficiency in using educational technology
  • Ability to adapt and follow lesson plans
  • Basic knowledge of child development

Working Conditions:

This position involves working in a school environment during regular school hours. The Cover Supervisor may need to deal with challenging student behaviour. The role requires standing and moving around the classroom for extended periods. Occasional administrative tasks may be assigned.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
