Job description

Cover Supervisors Required – Secondary Schools Across Bury

We are currently seeking experienced and confident Cover Supervisors to provide high-quality classroom supervision across a range of secondary schools in the Bury area.

This role involves managing lessons during teacher absences, ensuring that learning continues effectively and that all pupils remain engaged and focused. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an essential part in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared work in the absence of the class teacher.

  • Maintain discipline and ensure school policies are upheld.

  • Provide support and guidance to students to ensure the continuation of learning.

Requirements:

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

  • Previous experience within an educational setting or working with young people is highly advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
