Cover Supervisor – Flexible Working 

An oversubscribed and high-achieving secondary academy in central Bournemouth is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support lesson delivery across the curriculum on a flexible, ongoing basis from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching or experienced classroom supervisors seeking a new challenge.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during staff absence, ensuring pupils remain engaged with pre-set work.

  • Maintain a calm and productive learning environment.

  • Uphold school policies, including behaviour expectations and safeguarding.

  • Build positive relationships with staff and students across all year groups.

The school is looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people in an educational or youth setting.

  • Remains confident and composed when managing behaviour.

  • Can adapt quickly to changing environments and classroom dynamics.

  • Is reliable, punctual and well-organised.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
