Cover Supervisors – Flexible Opportunities Across Bournemouth

Start from September 2025

Are you confident managing a classroom and passionate about supporting secondary students in their education?

Teaching Personnel are working closely with several secondary schools in the Bournemouth area, and we’re looking to recruit reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to provide high-quality classroom supervision in the absence of a teacher. Whether you’re available immediately or looking for a full-time role starting in September 2025, we’d love to hear from you.


Position Details:

  • Location: Bournemouth & surrounding areas

  • Start Dates: ASAP and September 2025

  • Pay: £89 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

  • Role Type: Full-time, part-time, and flexible day-to-day work available


About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring students stay engaged and behaviour is effectively managed. You’ll work with pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing support and ensuring a safe, positive classroom environment.

This is an ideal opportunity for:

  • Graduates exploring a career in teaching

  • PGCE applicants looking to build school experience

  • Experienced Cover Supervisors or those with a background in youth work or education


What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working in schools or with young people

  • Strong classroom/behaviour management skills

  • A positive, flexible, and professional attitude

  • Ability to travel to schools across Bournemouth


Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Two recent references

  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
