Job description

Cover Supervisors Needed – Secondary Schools in Bolton

Secondary schools across Bolton are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support with daily lesson cover. This role is ideal for individuals with strong behaviour management skills who can maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.

Role Overview

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
  • Maintain clear expectations and ensure good behaviour throughout lessons
  • Support students in completing tasks set by the class teacher
  • Follow school behaviour policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Provide clear handover notes for teaching staff at the end of each lesson

Requirements

  • Strong behaviour management and confidence leading groups of students
  • Experience working with young people (school-based or transferable settings)
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and manage classroom routines
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
